For now, check out this easy way you can add clouds to your rubber stamp art using distress ink pads (colors used were broken china and faded jeans), a mask (stamp your main image on paper and cut it out), a stencil (draw a bumpy cloud ridge shape and cut it out too), and use a sponge/dauber to apply your distress inks.
Here's what it looks like in progress:

Here's a finished artist trading card using this technique:

(The ATC measures 2.5"x3.5", the Halloween Cat and Fairy rubber stamp was colored with Marvy LePlume II markers. I added some white highlights to the clouds and moon with a white pastel/chalk pencil.
Thankyou for sharing this method. I hope to be purchasing some stamps from you soon.

Happy to see you back, have long admired your artwork, you offer lots & lots of "inspirations" with all your colorful projects. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI hope soon to order some of your "fabulous faces".
The Oregon coasts is one of my favorite places to visit, lots of memories along hwy 101. The rock formations on the beaches are awesome.
Hoping that you will continue to feel better & that being creative will help you heal.

ReplyDeleteUnderstandably your article helped me truly much in my college assignment. Hats off to you post, choice look ahead for the duration of more cognate articles without delay as its anecdote of my pick question to read.
ReplyDeleteI'm SO glad I've discovered you and your lovely blog, along with your retail site. I make jewelry, mostly soldered or vintage repurpose, but have been wanting to try my hand at polymer clay and clay molds. I'm ordering some of your dragonfly molds (I adore dragonflies), and am very excited about trying a new technique. I'll let you know how it goes!! Warm regards, Sheila
